The Planning Board will hold a public hearing on this and other requests on, August 2, 2006, in the Legislative Chambers (LC Level) of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1821 Farnam Street, Omaha Nebraska. The hearing begins at 1:30 p.m.
Passage of a City Council resolution declaring the study area to be blighted and substandard and in need of redevelopment will allow the City to approve redevelopment plans for the redevelopment and revitalization of areas within the area (bounded by Cuming Street on the north; Dodge Street on the south; 24th Street on the east; and 33rd Street on the west.) Such redevelopment plans may include the use of tax increment financing to assist in financing redevelopment projects.
If you cannot attend the public hearing, but still wish to express your opinion on this matter, you may write a letter to the Planning Board, Room 1110, 1821 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska, 68183. Copies will be made and given to each Board member. Please feel free to call Ken Johnson at 444-5165 for additional information. Refer to Case #C3-06-200.
